You may not have heard of Journey to Success. But other community college systems around the nation have. They are starting their own programs based on Journey to Success. Why? Because it works.
DCCCD’s Journey to Success helps you:
- improve your study habits
- organize your life so that you can achieve your academic and career goals.
It can be helpful if you are feeling overwhelmed trying to juggle school, work and your personal life.
We team you with a success coach who volunteers his or her time to help you. The success coach will connect you to the college services and information you need to succeed. If you just need someone to listen, your success coach will do that. The goal is to make sure you’re moving in the right direction. The program is absolutely free to you.
The program has succeeded with many of our students. Pitt Community College in Winterville, N.C., is preparing to pilot a program modeled on Journey to Success. Other colleges are interested in starting their own programs based on ours.
How Do I Request a Success Coach?
Contact the Journey to Success coordinator at your college. Tell the coordinator that you want a success coach. The coordinator will assign a success coach to contact you by email or telephone. (Note: Some colleges may require that a professor refer you to the program.)
