Updated Feb. 18, 2013

**Registration for students is closed.**

Every year, we have an employee day of volunteering to give back to the community. This year, for the first time, we’re inviting students to join us as we work to make a difference in people’s lives.

United We Serve will take place Friday, Feb. 22, 2013. The last day to register is Feb. 17.

Together, we can work to beautify surrounding neighborhoods, show our gratitude to the communities who support us and give back through service. United we serve!

Students will fill out the student United We Serve registration form [link has been removed since registration is closed].

You’ll also need to fill out the waiver form for adults (if you’re 18 or older) or the waiver form for minors (if you’re younger than 18) and turn the form in to Mary Norman or bring it with you when you volunteer [links have been removed since registration is closed].

Students can serve at any of the agencies below. The agencies will disappear from the registration form once they’re full, so register now [link has been removed since registration is closed]!

  • City of Garland Code Compliance
  • City of Lancaster Parks and Recreation
  • Dallas Heritage Village (this agency is full)
  • Genesis Women’s Shelter (this agency is full)
  • Girl Scouts of North Texas

  2. My name is Heather Crawford. I would like to volunteer at the Reading Partners in Pleasant Grove. However, it is not listed for me to sign up. This is the closest place for me to volunteer.

    • Joanna Jordan

Hi, Heather, if Reading Partners isn’t showing up on the registration form, that means the agency is full. Unfortunately, the agencies are only able to accommodate a certain amount of volunteers. We’d be happy to have you at a different agency!

This page http://www.dcccd.edu/AU/Chancellor/OrgLearn/unitedweserve/Pages/Agencies.aspx should be linked her rather than me having to look all over for it.

Also, Genesis Womens Shelter is not listed on eConnect as a possible agency for registration. Is it full?
